Welcome.

After retiring from a 35-year career in enterprise IT, I now spend my days writing, publishing, and building Twelve Stones Publishing LLC. Whether a story unfolds during World War II or on a distant world, I'm drawn to characters whose greatest discoveries are ultimately about people.

Why I Write

I've always believed that stories can ask questions that facts alone cannot answer.

Some stories look backward into history. Others look outward toward distant stars. The setting changes, but the questions remain remarkably similar. How do ordinary people respond when they're placed under extraordinary pressure? What gives courage meaning? What makes a life worth living? And how do faith, hope, and purpose endure when circumstances become uncertain?

Those are the questions that keep bringing me back to the keyboard.

From Enterprise IT to Independent Publishing

For thirty-five years I worked in enterprise information technology, designing systems, solving complex problems, and helping organizations navigate constant change.

That career taught me patience, discipline, and the value of careful craftsmanship. It also convinced me that some of life's most important questions aren't technical at all.

Today I devote my time to writing and publishing through Twelve Stones Publishing LLC, where I oversee every part of bringing a book to life—from the first outline to the finished cover, website, marketing, and everything in between.

The Stories I Tell

My historical fiction and science fiction may seem very different on the surface, but they're driven by the same heart.

Million Dollar Smile grew from the true story of my grandfather, an Air Transport Command radio operator who lost his life during World War II. It is a story about family, sacrifice, courage, and remembering those who came before us.

The Vespera Revelation looks in the opposite direction—toward humanity's first journey to another star—but asks many of the same questions. Discovery, purpose, memory, and the human spirit matter just as much in deep space as they do on Earth.

Whether looking backward through history or forward into the unknown, I'm interested in the people who inhabit those worlds.

Life Beyond Writing

When I'm not writing, you'll often find me at a ranch working with horses, hiking in the Colorado mountains with my family, or experimenting in the kitchen.

Working with horses has become one of life's greatest teachers. They reward patience, consistency, humility, and trust—qualities that have shaped not only my riding but also the way I approach writing and publishing.

I'm also an amateur radio operator (KF0CJA), enjoy composing music, and have a lifelong interest in technology, history, and continuous learning.

Faith

My Christian faith quietly shapes everything I write.

It isn't there to provide easy answers or sermons. Instead, it influences the questions my characters wrestle with and the hope that often emerges through sacrifice, perseverance, and grace.

I believe stories have the unique ability to illuminate truth through imagination, and that's the kind of fiction I strive to write.

Looking Ahead

I'm just getting started.

Through Twelve Stones Publishing LLC, my goal is to continue writing thoughtful fiction that invites readers to slow down, think deeply, and enjoy stories that stay with them long after the final page.

Whether you came here because of Million Dollar Smile, The Vespera Revelation, or simple curiosity, I'm glad you're here.
